whats the difference between a hd tuner antenna and a hdtv digital receiver?

Would I need to get cable or can I just get one or the other of the products I’m asking about. The tv I have is a 720p lcd hdtv. Thanks.

    antennae gets its picture and sound from stations that broadcast through the air. A receiver requires cable or satellite. You will need HMI cable or the component cables (Red Green Blue)
